Clinical Hypnotherapy is a gentle and peaceful way to communicate with the sub conscious mind. 

Just like kinesiology and meditation, hypnotherapy is another fabulous tool to work ‘hands off’ with a client, and empower them to reframe negative to positive.

Karen uses hypnotherapy to support her clients to break the habit of being their current self. By this, Karen means that she supports you to defuse, delete, release and let go of unwanted habits which stop you from achieving your goals and desired outcomes.

Naturally, Karen will also infuse positive suggestion into each bespoke recording and session to maximise your ability to make proactive changes in your life.

So what is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis or ‘trance’ as it is sometimes called, is a totally natural state of mind that we all experience frequently without being consciously aware of it.

Hypnosis is not a state of  sleep!!! It is a state of deep deep relaxation whereby your sub conscious mind is open to receiving positive suggestion.

Most of us have had experiences whereby we seem to have ‘zoned out’. Like those moments where we drive from Point A to Point B, and thought to ourself “I don’t remember the last 5 kms I just drove!!!”.

This is just one experience of the ‘hypnotic state‘, which is simply an everyday natural state of altered consciousness. The fact is that we can naturally experience this trance like state, up to 120 times a day!

The therapy of hypnosis, called hypnotherapy is where the practitioner induces a gentle sensation of relaxation, so that you feel comfortable to hear and accept positive suggestions to make change in your life.

Any time that Karen utilises hypnotherapy, it is with consultation and your approved consent.

Karen adheres to a strict process which identifies the context of your current issue / stress / challenge. She utlises wellness coaching techniques to dig down into the root cause of your current situation.

Karen will then guide you into a state of relaxation, a natural state of consciousness, through guided meditational instruction and listening to soothing music.

You as the client, will feel totally in control at all times. You are likely to hear Karen (the therapist) quite clearly throughout the entire session. You will likely be able to have a limited conversation.

Its in this altered state of relaxed consciousness that positive suggestions can be accepted by your sub conscious mind.

Remember your brain doesn’t not know what is real or imagined! Karen is simply helping your brain to reframe what you want.

When you shift stress out of the sub conscious mind, it is you who is creating powerful and empowered shifts that drive your desired lasting change.

FAQs

What might hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis is a totally natural state. Some people perceive that hypnosis is supposed to feel different from their normal, awake state. Some people believe Karen might be brain washing you into a sleep.

This is not the case!

Once in a hypnotic state, you are likely to feel deeply relaxed, almost like you are half awake, half asleep. This beautiful relaxation allows a deep, inward focus, and it can feel very similar to relaxation induced by meditation.

You are likely to be awake the entire session.

Will I still be in control of myself whilst under hypnosis?

Yes absolutely. Karen can’t make you say, do or believe anything that you do not want to.

You will only be able to accept suggestions if it is in your interest to do so.

For example, if I asked you in your conscious state to jump off a cliff or rob a bank, would you?

No!

Because you know that robbing a bank is not aligned with your internal values and beliefs. It’s the same in hypnosis.

But most importantly, Karen is motivated to be of service to supporting a client to create positive change. Her work aims to always be that only to be highly professional.

How does a hypnotherapy session work?

All sessions begin with you and Karen having a conversation to become crystal clear on your desired outcome.

Karen will then ‘induce’ you into a hypnotic state or trance. It feels just like meditation. Once in the hypnotic trance, we gently explore experiences from your past which will help us understand the root, the reason and the cause of your issue. Your brilliant subconscious mind (which is always alert) will easily choose what information is required to be visited, naturally and effortlessly.

From your findings in this exploration, we will use powerful tools to let go of the old beliefs and upgrade your mindset to align with what you truly want.

What type of scenes will I go to?

The experiences that your mind will go to are scenes that highlight the root cause of your presenting challenge. Most, if not all of the experiences will be scenes / memories that you remember from your past. Some may be scenes you do not remember, but whether you remember them or not, your mind will choose the right scenes every time.

Why is hypnosis so powerful in creating change?

It’s because the mind is more malleable and impressionable in hypnosis. The ‘critical factor’ in the brain essentially shuts down, allowing one to willingly accept things that they wouldn’t accept when not in hypnosis.

How quickly will I experience the changes from our session?

Everyone’s healing experience is unique and different because we are individual. Therefore every session is different. Healing is not linear and there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Whether you see Karen for kinesiology, meditation or hypnosis, people transform in 3 ways:

1. Immediately – Change will happen straight away

2. Cumulatively – Change will occur bit by bit, day by day

3. Retroactively – You will look back with retrospect and identify change

Essentially each and every session is just like planting a positive seed for you to make changes. These changes occur sometimes quickly and sometimes over time. Change occurs when you are 100% ready to cease the old habit, and embrace the new actions and desired life.

This appointment comprises a conversation based in the principles of wellness coaching, and identify your goal. Then we undertake stress diffusion, and finish the session with empowered hypnotic meditation which is recorded and provided for you to continue reinforcing new beliefs at home.

This Hypnotic Gastric Band hypnosis and wellbeing coaching method aims to support those wishing to make a positive commitment to changing their shape and size. There is a primary focus on reducing your food portions, exercise and comfort.

Additionally we focus and work through any inhibitions, obstacles or blockages to your mindset and commitment to self. This program includes four x weekly 60 minute live sessions. There is daily homework support for you to listen and reaffirm your commitment daily.

We all experience stress in our lives, but when we feel like we’re stuck, fallen into a deep hole, we require assistance to reboot our belief system to be able to forge forward once again.
