What is
Wellness Coaching?
Wellness Coaching incorporates a relaxed conversation using a series of defined questions to assist you in identifying your ideal vision of life.
Karen utilises her 30+ years of engagement experience to guide you to gently dig a little and gain conscious awareness of your challenges. This awareness provides the participant with an understanding of where you are on your journey path.
Karen then supports you to establish goals to move forward, through, over, or around the current life obstacle, and continue along your path.
Have you ever wondered what creates the gap between what people say they want and what they actually do?
Wellness Coaching tools allow the practitioner to support their clients to close the gap of desired goals to achievement.
Karen combines theory from a broad range of complimentary modalities any supportive pyschology models including:
- Coaching psychology is an evidence-based, applied field of psychology that uses behavioral science to enhance performance, well-being, and personal development in non-clinical populations.
- Behaviour change is a structured process of modifying habits, actions, and routines to improve health, well-being, or productivity. It involves moving through stages—from recognizing a need to change to maintaining new actions—often using techniques like goal setting, environmental changes, and social support
- Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living, focusing on human strengths, flourishing, and optimal functioning rather than just treating mental illness.
- Mental Health Counseling – talk therapy to guide clients to manage mental health conditions, cope with life stressors (grief, trauma, relationship issues), and develop strategies for improved well-being and daily functioning
- Resource Therapy (RT) is a brief, trauma-informed, psychodynamic “parts work” psychotherapy developed by Professor Gordon Emmerson.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors to treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to treat intense emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and personality disorders. It is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that emphasizes balancing acceptance of painful emotions with actively changing harmful behaviors
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented psychotherapy that teaches individuals to accept uncomfortable thoughts and emotions rather than fighting or avoiding them.
Karen can help you to overcome resistance to change by using a step by step, structured approach. Therefore Karen supports you to facilitate change.
Wellness coaches and counselors support clients in working out what they want, why they want it, what’s stopping them and only then together create a plan for action.
Through this supportive relationship, Karen empowers her clients with a focus on facilitation, rather than prescription. You the client then can take responsibility, feel more confident as you experience small successes and ultimately achieves more significant change than you would on your own.
Karen integrates her coaching skills into all her sessions (whether it be kinesiology, hypnosis or counseling) to maximise your opportunities for change. Please note Karen is available upon request to work with both individuals and corporate groups with specific coaching needs.
Always a smiling face and great advice on my journey in life, very professional and welcoming love your work kaz
I had my first blessing this week with Karen! I can’t even say consultation as that just doesn’t give it justice to how I felt walking out!
Personally for me I spoke to Karen about ailments & issues I’ve been holding onto for years!! And now I know I’m on the right path to the better version of me xx
So, what then is Facilitated Change?
Karen supports client to reflect on their stress patterns on a physical, mental, emotional or even energetic state. This deep exploration supports the client to explore their unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and focus on a desired positive mindset.
Therefore the combination of the principles of kinesiology (stress defusion) with wellness coaching (consciously focussing on where you want your life to be going), is an extremely powerful tool. Throw in a side dish of mental health counseling, meditation or hypnosis and big change can come your way!
Please note that you can choose either face to face or online service option!
