Not quite awful!

Not quite awful!

I am always searching for yummy treat recipes for myself and my family. You see I have multiple food intolerances. This can make things tricky, but I know when I nurture my body, I feel fantastic.

My family therefore, get to try lots of different foods. Some are great experiments and others are epic failures. Sometimes there is choice involved, and other times it’s “eat what’s on your plate”. But the consistent message is try the experience and then express your preference.

It’s a great analogy for life that I am trying to teach my daughter. Immerse yourself into opportunities. Have a go. If you don’t enjoy it, learn the lesson and don’t do it again. If’ the experience is good then repeat. Simple right?

These are gluten dairy and egg free choc chip cookies. The choc is actually cacao nibs and the egg replacement was chia seeds. Sounds exciting right?!

Soooo my husband’s verdict statement was this … “babe ya know those latest cookies?”

I replied “yeah”.

They weren’t exactly terrible but what the f*#%k is in them? Somethings not quite right about them!!!”

Oh dear flying cookie airborne towards the smart arse!!!! I learnt a couple of things.

I celebrated the free expression and frankly after that comment we all laughed ourselves silly. The statement in fact, has become the latest joke in my household – it’s not quite awful but ….!”

So here’s what I know…

1. Chia seeds make a brilliant egg replacement

2. Cacao nibs are a great semi sweet replacement

3. I still have a good arm and my aim is exceptional!

Whilst the cookies require some ‘attention’, I had a go. And I’ve reminded myself with a simple recipe – that as long as I continue to have a go and dish up experiences into the bowls of life, it won’t be quite awful! Life will be filled with adventures!

Top Ten Tips to Overcoming Failure

Top Ten Tips to Overcoming Failure

Have you ever had a goal to work towards, busted your butt, only to fall and go ‘splat’ on your face?

Yep me too.

I learnt early in my career as an investigator and auditor that big goals are great, but frankly they are bastards of things to achieve. The bigger they are, often infers the harder you fall. That is unless you plan to succeed by breaking the goal into a whole bunch of small implementable actions.

As an auditor, and now a coach, I teach how it’s vital to have short, medium and some long term goals which force you to do two things. Firstly, you should create stable and harmonious processes with automated systems so that your successful daily routine can be consistently repeated. Secondly, you also need to stretch outside of your comfort zone to ensure growth and eliminate boredom.

So let’s ‘cut to the chase’.

The key lesson today is to embrace any failure you’ve experienced so far this year. These perceived failures are merely experiences which are vital lessons. It’s a mindset thing. When you choose a positive mindset, on how you look at the work you are undertaking to work towards your goals, your brain will remain in ‘creative’ mode. Solutions to once perceived problems jump out at you.

The negative mindset however runs an evil subliminal pattern. The negative instigates self doubt, fears which causes a negative outlook on life. It can even turn on your ‘flight / fight’ response and cause a physiological reaction in your brain and body. It’s called stress!

We don’t want that!

One of the big things that bites us in the butt is when it comes to reviewing our success and progress. It’s so easy to come up with perceived failure outcomes. This is often due to our expectations not being realistic, and our goals were far too great to achieve in one bite. It’s ok. We aren’t designed to learn lessons in one hit, we’re designed to learn stuff as we trek through life.

Expectations, by nature, set us up for failure and close off our creative minds to be open to opportunities and solutions. When we expect a certain outcome, we trigger our need for control, or fear to be out of control, and literally turn on our sympathetic nervous system – our bodies go into ‘defence’ mode and we’re no longer accessing our planning resources in the front of our brains.

When we are in a negative state, we’re only accessing old, deeply rooted survival mechanisms from our reptilian brain. When we’re in this part of the brain we are only surviving. The logic is often turned off and the panic can start to set in.

So here’s my tips for migrating towards achieving your goals and embracing the lessons along the way.

Number One. Have a positive mindset about how you look at all of your experiences. All experience can be positive when you choose it to be so. If there is a perceived failure, it is merely a lesson that what you tried didn’t work, and it’s time to try something new.

Number Two. Seek Support. If you exhaust the realm of your creativity and resilience resources, and still feel negative, then reach out to your peers or mentor. Ask for help!

Number Three. Create & Implement Small Actions. I so get it when we have a dream and smash ourselves to achieve it and then fall into a mess.  With my investigation and audit background, I feel so very comfortable having both a dream (the goal) and realistic targets (small actions) of how I will chip away at various milestones in order to achieve the bigger picture over time. Rome wasn’t built in a day! Start small and build as you achieve success.

Number Four. Embrace Your Race At Your Pace. As a coach, I often remind both myself and my clients of this golden rule  – embrace your race at your pace. This can apply to everyone who has tried to achieve a specific outcome and then perceives they have failed at their first attempt. Achieving success isn’t meant to be a race, it’s a journey.

Number Five. Create Clear Goals. I find the trick is to success is to clearly identify your goal. Be very clear on what it is you want to achieve. Furthermore, create a goal that you can emotionally connect to.

Be sure to use the Law of Attraction techniques and connect with how good it feels to be living this dream life you want. The reason to connect with the feelings is so your internal barometer will be able to focus on when you’re on the money and working exactly where you need to be.

Number Six. Plan For Success. So often we jump into projects without good planning and very quickly become unstuck and disillusioned. The age old saying Winston Churchill “failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail” is so true.

So dream your goal and connect to the good juju it will give you. Plan the tasks required. Plan how much time these tasks will take. Schedule those tasks into your calendar.

Do the planning which incorporates detailed ‘to do list’s. Assess the risks to you, achieving the goal, assess time frames, and assess your balance for work and life. I find writing it down so you’ve got something to bring your focus back to is imperative.

Number Seven. Break Goal Into Small Actions. The next key step is to achieving your goals, is to break them down into small actions. By implementing these small actions, you create new positive behavioural habits in order to achieve the dream life you want. The reason you need new habits is this – if you already had the positive reinstated in your actions, you would be living the dream life already.

Number Eight. Implement One Action At A Time. It’s critical when creating new habits, to implement one new action at a time. This way your evolving behaviour becomes more and more positive and part of your sub-consicous patterning. Once you’ve nailed one action as part of your routine, then and only then introduce a second new action. This process builds your new habits over time.

Implement ONE priority action first. Don’t go introducing anything else until this one thing becomes a natural and instinctive habit. Then repeat the process.

Number Nine. Honestly Review Your Performance. Reviewing your performance is a vital component of success. Regular review of actions being implemented means if you’re migrating in the wrong direction, or not perfecting the task, you’ll detect this quickly. Rapid detection means you’ll be able to redirection your momentum back towards the goal quickly. Make it the priority for implementation.

Number Ten. Never Stop Dreaming! One of the best things you can do when you achieve a goal is to celebrate and then immediately dream bigger, and continue the journey. So light it up, and go for it. Just be sure to shine brightly!

Shumann Resonance Demystified!

We’ve all been feeling a little funky lately – right? Strange body symptoms that can’t be explained by the doctor. Euphoric highs and exhausting body lows which generate fatigue that has been challenging even the most spritely of us to bed for 10 hours! Weird right? I know!

So, I did a bit of research (my inner detective still loves the thrill of discovery of information) and identified, that there are currently changes occurring within the Schumann Resonance. What’s that you say? Glad you asked!

“Scientists have discovered that variations in the Schumann resonance correspond to changes in the seasons, solar activity, activity in Earth’s magnetic environment, in water aerosols in the atmosphere, and other Earth-bound phenomena.” Source – Cynthia McKanzie – MessageToEagle.com

Even NASA has an opinion and describes the Shumann Resonance as this. Approximately 2,000 thunderstorms are active around the Earth at any given time, which produce roughly 50 flashes of lightning every second. Each lightning burst creates electromagnetic waves which circle around the Earth, and are captured between Earth’s surface and a boundary about 60 miles up. Some of these waves – if they have just the right wavelength – combine, increasing in strength, to create a repeating atmospheric heartbeat known as Schumann resonance. NASA utilises this variation in resonance to provide analysis of the Earth’s weather, its electric environment, and to even help determine what types of atoms and molecules exist in Earth’s atmosphere.

“These lightning electromagnetic waves, oscillate with regions of greater energy and lesser energy. These waves remain trapped inside an atmospheric ceiling created by the lower edge of the “ionosphere” – a part of the atmosphere filled with charged particles, which begins about 60 miles up into the sky. In this case, the sweet spot for resonance requires the wave to be as long (or twice, three times as long, etc) as the circumference of Earth. This is an extremely low frequency wave that can be as low as 8 Hertz (Hz) – some one hundred thousand times lower than the lowest frequency radio waves used to send signals to your AM/FM radio. As this wave flows around Earth, it hits itself again at the perfect spot such that the crests and troughs are aligned. Voila, waves acting in resonance with each other to pump up the original signal.

Stephen Roberts commented on Alfred Henriks article stating, “Whatever is happening, it’s clear that this acceleration may make you feel more tired, exhausted, dizzy, depressed, and even strange as you raise your own frequencies to be more “in tune” with the New Earth. Adaptation is not always an easy process, but keep in mind it’s all part of your own unique AWAKENING.

In her article Cynthia Mckanzie discusses “Scientists have discovered that variations in the Schumann resonance correspond to changes in the seasons, solar activity, activity in Earth’s magnetic environment, in water aerosols in the atmosphere, and other Earth-bound phenomena. The Schumann resonance is not a new phenomenon. Earth has been pulsating exactly at 7.83 Hz for thousands of years.”

The Schumann resonance is powerful and does affect our physical and mental health.

So it’s clear to me, in my investigations, that global scientists have discovered and agree, that there is a connection between all living things, and their alignment with the Earth’s pulse. There are many spiritual authors, such as Dispenza (click here Dr Joe Dispenza’s full article) and Peru (click here for Elizabeth Peru’s full article), who are presently sharing enlightening tips to support alignment to the shifts in energetic Shumann Resonance. I’ve collated them for you!

Here’s my Top Tips!

  1. Increase your fluid intake, to incorporate more fresh and filtered water, as this distributes the higher vibration more efficiently throughout your body. It’s like lubricating all your systems so everything works more efficiently.
  2. Incorporate more plant-based foods into your daily diet. Plants utilise the natural universal laws of survival, harmonics, mathematics and geometrics – meaning the contain optimum energetic resonance and purpose to survive and thrive. So by consuming more plant based foods, you are heightening your body’s ability to operate at a higher frequency as well.
  3. Step out of drama of others and bring your focus inward. Investment in other people’s stuff only causes you internal chaos because you don’t have their resilience resources to solve their challenges!
  4. Get moving. Every single day. Movement distributes energy around your body, and did you know that movement actually generates kinetic energy in your body to sustain life. We’re not born to be couch potatoes!
  5. Get yourself into nature more often. Get the shoes off, connecting with Earth’s heartbeat through your barefeet. Connection to nature also stimulates your visual and auditory senses, and supports diffusion of heightened sympathetic nervous system. The Japanese got the hang of this and actually prescribe forest or tree therapy to calm the jittery client.
  6. Bring mother earth and nature inside your home. Items such as plants, crystals, minerals, salt lamps, and high quality essential oils are all excellent examples of re-establishing your connection back to your roots (pun intended).
  7. Burn incense with windows and doors open to encourage regeneration of energy within confined or closed spaces. Clearing your space and claiming it as sacred elevates your energy!
  8. Book yourself regular bodywork such as kinesiology, massage, bowen and even energy healings such as reiki. Even consider a luxurious bath in sea salt. Physical manipulation of the body supports flushing of the lymphatics system to enable your body to release toxins and resonate at higher frequencies.
  9. Get more rest and more regularly! We’re moving too fast and can’t assimilate the changes in vibration when we’re busy.
  10. Be mindful or meditate each day. There is clear science that meditation alters the brain waves to a deep place of relaxation, perfect for assimilation. Vibrate from the heart rather than your head space.

No matter what your thoughts or beliefs, the priority in your life should be you. You can choose to change and bloom from within as you practice your perfection, resonating at new frequencies and aligning yourself to the cycles nature intended! If you’re feeling out of whack or disconnected from your happy rhythms consider booking yourself a session today.
